The Free State of Saxony

A broad range of information from people and government to knowledge and education can be found here.

Sights in Dresden

The Dresden City Portal provides an easy way to find accommodation, museums, local public transport, street names, services, etc.

If you plan to visit the Historical Green Vault, the part of the famous collection of the Wettin electors in its authentic rooms, you are recommended to book your tickets well in advance through the online booking system. The Historic Green Vault is currently the most favoured museum in Dresden. Chances to buy a ticket at the day of the visit are low.

Getting around

There is an excellent public transportation system in Dresden and the Metropolitan Area. Dresden Cards are available for the city and the region. For more information see the following links

Weather in September during the daytime is usually warm. There is the possibility of showers. To bring a raincoat and an umbrella might be appropriate.

Liability and insurance

The organisers will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the Conference. Participants are recommended to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance.
